First Art of Elegance Fair

Posted on September 12, 2011

Sunday 12th February, 2012 will be the first Art of Elegance Fair for Summer.  It will feature Traditional High Tea in the foyer of the Dunolly Town Hall, comprising of sweet and savoury offerings, served on authentic china.  Quality traders will be situated in the foyer offering items for sale which relate to the theme of bygone era elegance, in taste, edible and collectible.  In the Main Hall, purchase collectibles from antique traders, specialising in porcelain, tiered cake servers, crockery, silver service, teapots, tea caddies, linens, cups and saucers, and much more.  In creating the High Tea look and feel, a restoration of the grace of bygone eras can be experienced in the home, and especially with friends gathered for a tea event.  Fashions and accessories from other eras will be available and shown on models, for collecting, and advice given on how and what to collect.  This service will be offered from an antique porcelain trader, also, to give advice on what collections would suit best.  Items can be brought in for appraisal in the porcelain category, to provide information on how to build a collection, what to keep and what to circulate.   There will be music on the day, a beautiful display of entries from the Floral Antique Vase Competition with winning categories announced, door prizes, art on display to view and purchase.  While in town for the Dunolly Market, visit the Art of Elegance Fair and step back into a time of grace and beauty.  Return to this site for updates on traders and events, and we look forward to seeing you there.
