With preparations for the next Fair on Sunday May 13th 2012 at the Maryborough Town Hall well underway, it’s time for some trader posts to appear. Mini Mad Hatter High Tea bookings are already being made, and Fairytale Frostings have given a general preview of the kind of fare to expect as part of the menu, which will be traditionally served using the tiered plate style. There will be 8 – 10 mini sweet and savoury treats per setting, including ribbon sandwiches, savoury quiche choices, chocolate delights, old favourite scone with jam and cream, cream horn, light and wispy butterfly cup cakes, among others. A pot of loose leaf tea for one is included, with choice of accompaniments, such as cubed sugar, lemon or cream preferences. The venue will be highly decorated in line with the Mad Hatter and Alice in Wonderland theme, and wearing a hat will be a must for anyone dressing up for the day. Note: High Tea will begin as close to 11 am as possible, and there will be three separate sittings to allow for extra Mothers’ Day bookings. Times are 11 am, 12.30 pm and 2 pm until close at 4 pm.
