Tea and Home Decor – Amaroo – Maryborough, Victoria

Posted on March 25, 2012

It’s easy to create authentic vintage home decor and set a tea table in the right way when you know where to get the look you want.  Eric and Mary Wytkamp of Amaroo Antiques and Collectibles in Nolan Street Maryborough, Victoria, have a good eye for specialty china pieces, and interesting home decor ideas.  All of these styles are featured in decorator magazines lately, and look great even with a modern decor, if you want to mix styles.  Wherever possible, collections ought to be on show and used with care as much as possible, so don’t be afraid to put them to work.  Look for Amaroo’s space in the Dance Hall, where they will have a lovely range of home decor items and tea setting china, as well as offering small item appraisals on the day for a gold coin donation per piece.   Murano Glass is a particular speciality area.  Give them a call and arrange a time at the Fair, — maximum three items per person, between 2 – 4 pm.   They will stock the kinds of collectibles seen here, including beauties like the piece of retro mid century art above so prized for home decor these days.   Below is a rare late Victorian refreshment set, with delicate pitcher and four glasses, covered in lovely swallows and lily of the valley flowers in glass relief.   Don’t miss Amaroo for collectibles and vintage home decor in the Dance Hall at the Art of Elegance Fair in May!
