Magazines are a great way to see what’s interesting at a glance, and get new ideas.  Maryborough Library has some great magazines, handy for vintage culture info and learning how to get the look.   Maree Stephenson, librarian, loves vintage, and makes sure there are lots of resources for magazine readers to keep pace with new ideas.  She recommends Frankie as the best read, —  the latest issue is always on the library shelf.  Other lifestyle titles include Marie Claire for fashion and story, Gardening Australia for the best outside home advice, and Country Style for decor and country living.   These are just a few of the titles available for reading in the library, and more to see below, including crafts inspiration and collectibles culture.  Central Highlands covers a huge area, so once you are a member of one library, you can access books and periodicals from the whole region.   The best news is that Maree says Mollie Makes is being added to the list, a really wonderful UK magazine, centred on the Makes and vintage culture, so be sure to have a look when it arrives.  Here is a great article on how to get the vintage look yourself, once you’ve been to work on the home decor that is, from their blog The Making Spot – Vintage Makeovers.   The Maryborough Library is a lovely quiet place to keep up to date with the latest trends in vintage culture, especially with the cooler weather seasons on their way…
