Rose Hardress of Corridor Art Gallery is creating a real art culture with the way she interprets the traditional tea cosy, bringing it up into the region of a keepsake, artistic statement or collector piece.  The styles seen above are just released, made from recycled and new yarns of interesting textures, shapes and colours.  People have been known to buy more than one of these for their tea making kit, and with winter coming up, there will be more than one gathering around a pot of tea in the goldfields.    She also has a fabulous range of vintage  jewellery and keepsakes sourced from overseas, with trinkets, clocks, stamps, bracelets, bangles and beads to name a few.   These are very popular gifts and would probably accompany a chocolate egg for Easter very well!   Choose from 40’s pieces, 60’s pieces and 70’s pieces alike, Rosy has them all.   Corridor Art Gallery has taken part in all four Art of Elegance Fairs, forever popular and directional in style and taste.  It will be fun to see her space at this weekend’s event at Romantic Vineyard, where Truly Madly Deeply will play, Renee and Dave providing the hospitality, and the vineyard scenery doing the rest.  Come along for a fabulous afternoon, this Sunday 24th March 2013 from 2 pm $25 pp inc. show, gourmet platter grazing and a glass of wine, details below…
