This coming weekend, at The Rex Theatre in Charlton, the eagerly awaited premiere of celebrated film “The Great Gatsby” will screen.  Committee of The Rex and patrons alike will dress up, and enjoy the film in authentic period surroundings!  Session times start this Saturday 6th July 2013 at 8 pm, and continue throughout the weekend, see The Rex Theatre site for more details, and also to view the movie trailer in HD, in all its sizzling style.  The Rex Committee will also announce the launch of what will become an annual festival for the Theatre, “Jazz in July 2013” slated for 20th – 21st July, which has attracted a lot of attention near and far, namely from Jane la Scala’s fabulous Jazz Ramble, the one stop source for everything jazz, with an unmatched pedigree of experience in the scene.  The Rex aims to create an “authentic era jazz experience” for festival goers, where they can go back in time and really relive the glamour of a by-gone age, kept alive by some wonderfully stylish architectural details, brilliant music and entertainment to accompany it.  Tickets available via the links below for Jazz in July 2013, limited accommodation still available for weekend visitors.  Movie tickets and times for the Great Gatsby premiere and season are available via The Rex box office.  It’s going to be fun, even the Theatre will be dressed up for the occasion, as can be seen from the current image of the front window above, and some very stylish window art below, all by local talented artists!
