It’s been a long and rewarding time since 2012 of handcrafting consistently innovative, and creative tea cosy art by Rosy Hardress, with her original brand: Corridor Gallery. Her studio is located upstairs at Fyffe Street Emporium in the beautifully preserved historic Victorian Goldfields town of Talbot. It’s been home to her art gallery at first, since 2007, then the tea cosy making started as a result of the birth of the first Art of Elegance Fair in the February summer of 2012. Her first designs sold out in moments that day, and continued to headline for all events, from Dunolly to Maryborough to Charlton to Maldon, and many others, creating happiness and whimsy for clients far and wide.

So, such great news to see her win the 2020 Fish Creek e-cosy Online Exhibition with her colourful “Curly Top” design – featured below. Congratulations, Rosy!

Also wonderful, is Rosy’s inclusion into the Australian Tea Cultural Society newsletter for July, for their “ArtTea” series, featuring different makers on a tea centred theme.  Tea, and tea-related culture, has become an important part of our modern lifestyles, and Rosy’s designs create a fun and quirky vibe to every tea ritual. She makes commissions if she has time available, but mostly she is busy stocking her colourful studio at Talbot in the historic Lyon’s Commercial Hotel building on Fyffe Street. New products from upcycled materials are always being created, too, such as brooches, teacup pincushions, and lots more. Well worth a visit while touring Central Goldfields, upstairs at Fyffe Street in Talbot, Victoria. Corridor Gallery can be contacted via Facebook Messenger Rosy Hardress- Corridor Gallery.
